Narrowed Visions is a corsetry specialist based in the green hills of Yorkshire, England. The studio creates avant-garde and historically inspired garments beautifully tailored to the highest standards.
The designer and maker behind the brand is Nikki Swift, who has been creating corsets for more than 10 years in both a personal and professional capacity. Nikki is at ease drafting unique designs or taking period creations to the next level of excellence and beauty with a fearless approach to materials and experimentation.
In 2014 Nikki undertook a reproduction of the famous Sanakor plunge corset, held at the Symington Museum, and went on to pioneer the creation of coloured corsetry metalwork to add an extra dimension for wearers and makers alike. She also writes regularly for Foundations Revealed, an online resource for corset makers of all abilities and backgrounds.
Initially self-taught, Nikki graduated in 2013 with a Distinction level City and Guilds in Corsetry. Since then she has attended many classes covering a variety of skills including the use of sheer materials, creating cupped corsetry and master re-patterning techniques. These skills and experience, coupled with a perfectionist attitude and a sense of adventure, make her a versatile and unique corsetiere capable of taking your imagination and making it reality.
